Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, this English and Dutch-speaking talent has captivated audiences on both sides of the linguistic divide. Initially pursuing sociology studies with plans to enter the music industry, Yootha's journey took a turn towards acting after landing her debut role as Angela in the TV seriesWho's In and Who's Out(2012).

Her film career began unconventionally yet memorably withHoeu duur was de suiker(2013), also known as "The Price of Sugar", where she portrayed Mini-Mini, a biracial enslaved person.
