Story

In early 1960s America, Major Hank Marshall, a nuclear engineer in the US Army, struggles with his career and marriage while being reassigned from base to base. His wife, Carly, is bipolar and sexually liberated, modeled after Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot, causing disruption wherever they go. Their two teenage daughters, Alex and Becky, also face challenges adjusting to new environments. Hank's latest assignment in Alabama involves Project Blue Sky, but his unconventional marriage and his wife's flirtatious behavior with other men threaten to destroy both their home life and Hank's career.
