Story
Die Braut explores the tumultuous relationship between Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the renowned German writer, and Christiane Vulpius, a village girl with whom he shared an instantaneous and fiery passion. The two lived together for 28 years, with Christiane suffering numerous insults and humiliations due to their unconventional living arrangement.
