Josh Fosse, a struggling 20-something, feels his life is going nowhere. His girlfriend has left him, he's behind on rent, and his online app review job isn't paying the bills. In an effort to boost his income, Josh decides to review a self-help app called 'i-Lived'. After signing up, his life begins to drastically change for the better. He meets the girl of his dreams and lands a job offer he can't refuse. Convinced it's his own charm offensive rather than the app's influence, Josh signs out of i-Lived. However, as soon as he does, he loses everything he'd gained. Realizing the app's power, Josh signs back in but this time, the tasks it asks him to perform are morally questionable yet essential for him to become the success story the app predicts.
