Successful architect Robert has a one-night stand with a mysterious woman dressed in red. The following day, they encounter each other again, but Carolin, now introduced as a corporate lawyer, seems to have no recollection of their previous night together. Despite her apparent amnesia, she is working on a major contract for Robert's firm. As their professional relationship develops, Robert becomes increasingly drawn into the dark and troubled world of Carolin and her family. The line between sex and death begins to blur as tragedy seems inevitable for this decaying bourgeois family.
