Eric Sloane travels to Thailand to challenge Muay Thai champion Tong Po but fails and suffers severe injuries. Eric's younger brother Kurt returns home in a coma. Upon recovery, Kurt decides to train under their late father's mentor, Master Durand, to avenge his brother by defeating Tong Po in the ring. Throughout his training, Kurt struggles initially due to lack of natural talent but eventually discovers inner strength that allows him to confront Tong Po.

The story follows the Sloane brothers, Eric and Kurt, who are descendants of a prominent Venice, California martial arts family.
