The middle brother Forrest (Tom Hardy) is the mastermind behind the business, while his older brother Howard (Jason Clarke) provides muscle and younger brother Jack (Shia LaBeouf) serves as the lookout. Their illicit enterprise thrives due to the local police taking bribes and turning a blind eye. However, their peaceful operation comes under threat when a ruthless special agent from Chicago, Charlie Rakes (Guy Pearce), arrives in town with intentions of shutting them down.
