After being fired from NYPD for killing a man in self-defense and losing his wife due to his alcoholism, former detective Ben Carson takes up a job as night watchman at the burned-out shell of the Mayflower Department Store. On his first night, he notices that all the mirrors are exceptionally clean, which his colleague attributes to the previous watchman's obsession with them. Soon after, Ben starts seeing disturbing images in the mirrors and even witnesses a terrifying figure emerging from one. His estranged wife Amy initially dismisses these events as hallucinations due to his medication. However, when Ben's younger sister Angie is brutally murdered in her bathtub, he becomes convinced that an evil force is stalking him through the mirrors. As more gruesome deaths occur around him, Ben must confront his own past and find a way to stop the malevolent entity before it claims another victim.
