Orlean is set in the seemingly ordinary town of Orléans, but it harbors deep-seated corruption and evil deeds. Lida, a hairdresser, has reckless affairs and multiple abortions; Rudik, a doctor, exploits his position for sexual favors while neglecting his paralyzed father; the local police officer commits murder without remorse; and a circus magician's act may involve more than just illusions. Into this town comes a mysterious man known as the Executor, who carries business cards with his title. He approaches Lida and Rudik, promising each endless suffering in their lives. As he interacts with the townsfolk, it becomes clear that the Executor might be an embodiment of conscience, elusive and possibly immortal.
