Lucy, Michael, and William are co-owners of a Toronto publishing company. When Sloan, a former boxer-turned-writer with an upcoming book about a serial killer, arrives, Lucy becomes sexually drawn to him due to his charm and her past experiences in Paris. They begin an affair while Michael remains unaware. Meanwhile, Sloan starts a relationship with William, leading to sexual confusion for Sloan and causing Michael to go crazy upon discovering their secret trysts.
