Naive and brash teenage runaway Bonnie finds herself lost in America. Her brother tracks her down but acts more like a controlling pimp than a concerned sibling. Bonnie encounters a series of eccentric and dangerous characters who treat her as an object: violent criminal Pat forces Bonnie to assist in kidnapping middle-aged Dan Daubrey; domineering lesbian painter Geraldine Mills keeps Bonnie as her kept girl, using her as a model; wealthy misogynist Vincent Stackman desires Bonnie as the ultimate prize for his collection of caged female animals in his remote mansion basement.
