Story
The story unfolds during the Spanish Inquisition era when Maria, a kind-hearted woman, witnesses the public whipping of a child and inadvertently cries out in horror. This act leads to her arrest as a witch by Torquemada, the Grand Inquisitor. Torquemada becomes obsessed with Maria, determined to punish her for the desire she ignites within him.
