Story
Disgraced Top Gun fighter pilot Butch 'Cobra' Masters leads a rogue squad in recovery of a Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD). The team was previously blamed for an exercise gone wrong due to manipulated real-time information, leading them to launch real rockets on a cave hideout. They were disgraced and discharged from the military. Masters must navigate his fractured friendship with his former squad mates, who accepted voluntary dismissal to avoid conviction, each finding civilian jobs abroad. They are reassembled by ambitious Pentagon official John Webster for an urgent mission in the Middle East despite diplomatic risks. The team is complemented by Masters' ex-girlfriend, now an investigative reporter, to prevent a chemical weapon from falling into the hands of a Kurdish militia. However, layers of betrayal cause unforeseen trouble during their mission.
