In Argentina during the military dictatorship of the early 1980s, Alba, after being released from prison, moves to a remote hippie community in the Andes with her six-year-old son Inti. They settle into the house of a deceased physician where Alba indulges in marijuana and free love. Meanwhile, Inti struggles for support among other children in the community. Eventually, Alba grows tired of this chaotic lifestyle and they move into a small cabin without water or electricity. Mother and son face threats and humiliation from local peasant children but strive to build a new life together under these simple conditions.
