Jian-wa Chang, after the death of his brother Wago, travels aimlessly across America's countryside until he is hit by a van driven by two college students. Megan, a secluded artist, takes him in and nurses him back to health. During his recovery, Jian-wa finds solace in the company of Wago's ghost, who needs to act as an angel to Jian-wa to gain acceptance into heaven. Meanwhile, the college students who hit Jian-wa plan to kill him to ensure he doesn't talk to the police about the accident.
Vanishing Son IV is the fourth installment in the Vanishing Son series. This film follows Jian-wa Chang's journey of self-discovery and acceptance after losing his brother Wago.
