Story
XXY follows Alex, an intersex individual who was assigned male at birth but identifies as female. The story begins with Alex's parents separating, and her mother moving them to a coastal town in Uruguay to start a new life. Alex is struggling with her identity and the changes in her body due to hormone replacement therapy. She has been living as a girl for some time but faces internal conflict about her true identity. When her mother invites an old friend, ALICIA, who is now a doctor, to stay with them, Alicia brings her teenage son, MERCUTIO.
