Melissa Benoist, born October 4, 1988, is an American actress, singer, and producer. She gained prominence for her role as Marley Rose on Fox's 'Glee' (2012-2014), and rose to widespread recognition portraying the title character in CBS/CW's superhero series 'Supergirl' (2015-2021). Benoist has appeared in films such as 'Whiplash' (2014), 'Danny Collins' (2015), 'The Longest Ride' (2015), and 'Patriots Day' (2016). She also played Michelle Jones, the wife of cult leader David Koresh, in the miniseries 'Waco' (2018). On Broadway, Benoist debuted as Carole King in 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical' in 2018.

Story

Homeland follows U.S. Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody who returns home eight years after going missing in Iraq, presumed dead. His intelligence officer, Carrie Mathison, believes he was turned by al-Qaeda and poses an active threat to national security.
