Before her film career, she performed with Xavier Cugat's orchestra and appeared in films like 'You Were Never Lovelier' (1942) and 'Bathing Beauty' (1944). She married twice; first to John Lawrence Adams and later to Jay Gould III. Romay passed away on December 17, 2010, at the age of 91.
