Story

Baltimore industrialist Wendell Armbruster travels to Ischia, Italy after his father passes away unexpectedly with his mistress of ten years. Upon arrival, he meets Pamela Piggott, whose mother was also killed in the accident alongside Wendell's father. Despite their parents' long-standing affair, Wendell is initially more concerned with avoiding scandal and arranging for a swift return of the bodies. However, Pamela sees the situation as an opportunity to celebrate the romance between their parents and encourages Wendell to embrace the spirit of Ischia. As they navigate the bureaucracy surrounding the bodies and dealings with unscrupulous locals who attempt blackmail, Wendell finds himself drawn to Pamela's free-spirited nature. Ultimately, the two extend their parents' affair into a romantic relationship of their own.
