Geschichte

Initially, he merely stalks the girl, but his fixation escalates to extreme lengths as he resorts to blackmail and even murder to get closer to her.
Zusammenfassung
Directed by Pete Walker, 'House of Mortal Sin' (also known as 'The Confessional') is a horror film that critiques institutional hypocrisy, specifically within the Catholic Church. The story revolves around a young girl's confession turning into a nightmare due to a priest's sexual obsession with her. Despite its title and premise, it leans more towards thriller than typical horror, making it somewhat of a proto-slasher film. Walker's critique of institutional corruption through this tale of obsession is a significant aspect of the movie.
