Bernadette Perez, born and raised in East Chicago, identifies as Native American-Mexican and LGBTQ+. She began her acting career on stage at age 12, later winning an Optimist Speech Contest. Her first professional role was in Lynda Barry's 'The Good Times Are Killing Me'. She moved to New York for a small film role before landing the lead in a TV pilot set in Las Vegas. After moving to Los Angeles, she studied acting techniques from various prominent teachers. Perez has appeared in numerous films including 'Meet the Fockers' and 'War of The Worlds', as well as many independent films for SyFy Channel, Amazon, and Netflix. She's known for her role in 'Boystown' on OutTV Network, and stars in the upcoming series 'Blackwater'. Perez is also a passionate advocate for equality in the LGBTQ+ community, at-risk youth, and diversity inclusion in film.
