Dominique Laffin (June 3, 1952 – June 12, 1985) was a French actress born in Saint-Mandé, Val-de-Marne, France. She appeared in 19 films between 1975 and 1985, gaining critical acclaim for her role in 'La Femme qui pleure' (1979), which earned her a César Award nomination for Best Actress. Laffin also co-starred with Roberto Benigni in 'Chiedo asilo' that same year. Her career was short-lived due to her untimely death from a heart attack at age 33. Rumors of suicide surround her death, but these remain unconfirmed. She is buried near François Truffaut in Paris's Cimetière de Montmartre. Laffin had a daughter, Clémentine Autain (born 1973), who later became a French politician.
