Gemma Jones, born Jennifer Gemma Jones on December 4, 1942, is an acclaimed English actress known for her extensive work in film and television. Notable roles include Sense and Sensibility (1995), Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), the Harry Potter series (2002-2011), Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010), and the BBC television film Marvellous (2014) for which she won the 2015 BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress.
