Georgina Cates, born Clare Woodgate in Colchester, England in 1975, began her acting career at age 16 under her birth name, gaining fame in the BBC sitcom '2 Point 4 Children'. She changed her name to Georgina Cates and won the role of Stella in Mike Nicholls' film 'An Awfully Big Adventure', earning a London Critics Circle Film Awards nomination.
