Gina Lollobrigida (1927-2023) was an Italian actress, photojournalist, sculptress, and politician. Known as one of Europe's most popular actresses in the 1950s and early 60s, she was also an iconic sex symbol of the 1950s. She remained an active supporter of Italian and Italian-American causes throughout her life.
