Johanna Sällström, born on December 30, 1974 in Stockholm, Sweden, rose to prominence with her award-winning role in 'Under Ytan' (1997), earning a Guldbaggen for Best Female Leading Role. After taking a break from acting to work at a café shop in Denmark, she returned to Sweden and became known for playing Linda Wallander in 'Wallander' (2005). Despite her tough on-screen personas, she was reportedly shy and quiet in private life. She passed away in Malmö, Sweden on February 13, 2007.
