Kathy Wise, an outcast at an elite New England boarding school, was accidentally struck by a car driven by her tormentors as part of a cruel practical joke, resulting in a coma. A newcomer to the school, Eva, moved into Kathy's former room and befriended some of those responsible for her condition. Unbeknownst to all, Eva was unwittingly being controlled by Kathy from her hospital bed, with the intent to seek revenge against those who had wronged her.
