Canadian actress Lexa Doig, born Alexandra Lecciones Doig on June 8, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario, began her career as a model at age 16 after being scouted during high school. She dropped out of her final year to pursue acting, initially co-hosting the Canadian game show 'Video & Arcade Top 10'. Her breakthrough role came in the TV series 'Andromeda' (2000-2005), where she played the title role. She also appeared as Rowan in the horror film 'Jason X' (2002).
