Lone Hertz, daughter of Kay Bernhard Hertz and Arnolda Nielsine Viola Gress Aistrup, was a Danish actress born in Copenhagen. As a child, she attended the Royal Theatre Ballet School for three years and later debuted at the same theatre as Little Sarah in 'Indenfor murene'. She left school to become a chorus girl and performed at ABC-Teatret from 1956 to 1961. Hertz gained her breakthrough role as Hedvig in 'Vildanden' at Aalborg Teater in 1964. She is known for roles such as Tine in the film 'Tine', which earned her a Bodil Award, and Clara in 'Sommer i Tyrol'. Hertz had two children with Axel Strøbye, including Tomas who was developmentally disabled. After retiring from acting in the late 1980s, she became rektor of Statens Teaterskole until 1990.
