Mai Hoshino, born in Japan, rose to prominence as an actress in the late 1990s. She starred in 'Shabondama Elegy' in 1999. In this film, her character Keiko is a money-hungry adult film actress who takes in her ex-wife's brother Jack. They fall in love, but she agrees to hand him over to the yakuza for money with one condition: three days alone together. However, unforeseen events lead to complications.
