Makiko Kuno, born Shōko Kuno and later writing her surname in katakana, is a Japanese actress who began her career as a model during high school. She debuted as an actress in 1987. In 1986, she participated in the first Pocari Sweat Image Girl Contest but lost to Chisato Moritaka. Kuno served as the image girl of JR East kiosks from 1988 to 1994. She gained attention for appearing nude in the original video 'XX: Utsukushiki Karyūdo' in 1994, and also released a collection of photographs titled 'Mitsu'. In 1998, Kuno played Sunday in the Chunsoft sound novel Machi to critical acclaim. She is also a qualified sommelier since 1998.
