Monique van der Werff, born September 6, 1982, in Haarlem, studied dance under Anneliese Post and ballet at Studio 118 of Conny Lodewijk during her secondary schooling. She won first prizes in dance competitions in 1998 and 1999, and a public prize in 2000 organized by Kunstbende. After graduating from high school, she studied at the Amsterdam Theater Academy and completed courses at the Cabaret Academie of Paul Rooyakkers. Monique appeared in theater productions such as 'De jongste en de oudste' and 'Tartuffe' with Nationale Toneel. On television, she played Suzy de Ruyg in 'Onderweg naar Morgen' (2002-2003) and Taffie Arends in the Nickelodeon series 'Zoop' (2004-2007). Her film debut was in the title role of the TV movie 'Loverboy' (2003), directed by Lodewijk Crijns.
