Natasha Bianca Lyonne Braunstein, known professionally as Natasha Lyonne, was born on April 4, 1979, and began her acting career at a young age. She made her first uncredited appearance in 'Heartburn' (1986), recurring in 'Pee-wee's Playhouse' (1986) and supporting in 'Dennis the Menace' (1993). Lyonne gained recognition for her roles in independent films such as 'Slums of Beverly Hills' (1998) and broader comedies like 'American Pie' (1999). She achieved significant critical acclaim and multiple award nominations for her role as Nicky Nichols in the Netflix series 'Orange Is the New Black' (2013–2019), a role she also co-created, wrote, directed, and executive produced.
