Nava Mau is a Mexican-American filmmaker, actress, and cultural worker known for her role as a series regular on HBO Max's 'Generation'. Born in Mexico City but raised in San Antonio, Texas, Mau wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the 2018 short film 'Waking Hour', which screened at festivals worldwide. She was selected as a Production Fellow on Netflix's documentary 'Disclosure'. Prior to her acting career, Mau worked for eight years in healing justice and culture change with community-based service providers and survivors of violence. Her long-term vision is to illuminate the stories of marginalized people to transform their access to resources.
