Sarah Smart, born to scriptwriter Pat Smart, has four siblings and descends from Grace O'Malley, the 16th-century Irish pirate known as 'the mother of all rebellions'. However, her role in Funland (series) (2005) involves playing Carter Krantz who arrives in Blackpool to investigate his mother's murder, eventually working at a strip club and uncovering dark secrets.
