Yvonne Hung Yung, born in Hong Kong, dreamed of being a dancer since childhood. She moved to Beijing alone at age 13 and graduated from the Dance Department of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Due to excessive strain on her psoas, she had to abandon dancing and entered the entertainment industry. In 1989, she won the Miss Asia title, which launched her acting career with roles in TV dramas like 'Looking at the Present' and 'The Best Talent'. She is notably known for starring in the 1994 Hong Kong film 'Mun ching sap daai huk ying'.
