Yvonne McCord, born Carol Heath, was a young and aspiring singer from Los Angeles who moved to Tokyo after answering an advertisement for a job opportunity at the White Orchid nightclub. Upon arrival, she discovered that the club was a front for prostitution run by the Yakuza. Despite being stranded without money or her passport, McCord found protection from Shiro, one of the agents who had hired her. However, she faced pressure from Madame Mori and Hatanaka to comply with clients' propositions.
