The movie 'King David' (1985) chronicles the life of Israel's King David from his anointment to his reign and its subsequent challenges. Initially, Prophet Samuel, displeased with King Saul's disobedience, surprisingly anoints the youngest son of Jesse, teenage David, as the next king. Despite this, David gains widespread belief in his kingship after defeating Goliath. However, King Saul grows jealous and takes measures against David, even risking his army in battles against Philistines. Saul's son Jonathan supports David as the next king despite his father's actions. During David's reign, he faces issues with God and Prophets due to his emotional decisions, notably regarding his eldest son Absalom and his relationship with Bathsheba.
