Storia di Piera is a complex narrative revolving around the incestuous relationship between a mother and daughter, Eugenia and Piera Degli Esposti. This unconventional lifestyle takes its toll as Eugenia is repeatedly committed to psychiatric clinics. By the time Piera grows up, both of her parents are institutionalized in separate mental hospitals, each exhibiting sexually eccentric behaviors.
