Kathy Wise, an outcast at an elite New England boarding school, was accidentally struck by a car driven by her tormentors as part of a cruel practical joke, resulting in a coma. A newcomer to the school, Eva, moved into Kathy's former room and befriended some of those responsible for her condition. Unbeknownst to all, Eva was unwittingly being controlled by Kathy from her hospital bed, with the intent to seek revenge against those who had wronged her. Meanwhile, Kathy's physician began dating Eva, who also targeted his latest girlfriend.

Lara Lamberti, born to a family of artists in Berlin, spent part of her childhood there before moving to Italy at sixteen to pursue acting. She quickly gained international recognition, working in various countries including Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Australia, and the United States. While working in films, she also studied psychology and musicology at Freie Universitaet Berlin, graduating in 1998. After graduation, she entered the film financing business and founded Alshain Pictures with a family member in 2006.
