Tammy Jean, known professionally as Mara, is an introverted and peculiar individual who spends her days crafting props for films. She struggles with a deep-seated fear of being alone and maintains relationships with former lovers by keeping their corpses as 'living dolls'. When hired by Kat, a young producer, the two form a strong connection, but Mara's mental state begins to deteriorate due to her obsession with her dolls and fears of abandonment. Her psychosis leads her to commit further murders.
